May 9, 2008According to Bill Coley, Chief Excecutive of British Energy Group, Incentives and Reward could have a new role to “encourage excellence in health and safety standards.”
As Laura Chubb reported in People Management, speaking at the Health and Safety Excecutive (HSE) conference, Coley highlighted the role Incentives and Reward could play in ensuring “every employee…feel obligated to raise concerns about safety and offer ideas about improvements” and in doing so reduce the occurence of major health and safety incidents in the workplace.
Coley’s consideration of Reward and Incentives as a means to improve workplace Health and Safety is yet another example of the applicability of Incentives and Reward to a business’ benefit.
Peoplevalue’s Excellence Awards have the flexibilty to allow a client to determine the criteria for reward. If it’s a suggestion scheme or an incentives scheme to encourage safe working and best practice, Excellence Awards have the solution. To find out more about Excellence Awards, click here.
